This issue of the Journal of Inclusive and Innovative Practices (Volume 1 Issue 2, 2023) has come out rather late as a result of circumstances beyond our control in the publication process. We apologise for this development. There are five articles in this issue. The first article, by Dennis Mashoko, is on the effects of consumer engagement on green product buying in food restaurants. The author concludes that, along with other variables, culture plays a mediation role in achieving green product buying. The next article, by Phillimon Mahanya and Charles Govero Chipika, explored challenges experienced by student teachers on teaching practice in inclusive schools during the COVID-19 era. The article reveals a number of challenges such as personal, mentor-related and online teaching methodology. Charles Govero Chipika and Barbara Zvisinei Podzo examined the relationship between corruption and poverty among persons with disabilities (PWDs). Findings indicate that PWDs are disadvantaged in socio-economic participation due to corruption. The authors recommend total observation of transparency and accountability. The fourth article, by Lytion Chiromo and Catherine Kazunga, focuses on the concept of student indiscipline in secondary schools. Findings reveal that causes of students’ indiscipline are related to a number of factors, chief among them being the type of school, increasing curricula and cultural diversity. The last article, by Ester Rutoro, establishes that gender discrepancies in academic promotion in higher education are mainly enhanced by gendered discourses, disabling perceptions and disabling gendered practices. The article calls on higher education institutions to play a central role in addressing challenges of gender discrepancies.
